Ranchi: The RJD will continue the legal battle in the fodder scam case, party leader Raghuvansh Prasad said on Wednesday after Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad was found guilty in the third case in the scam.

Raghuvansh Prasad, known to be close to the former Chief Minister, said that the sentences given to the RJD chief would only “strengthen” the party’s resolve, after Lalu Prasad along with another former Chief Minister Jagannath Mishra was found guilty in the Rs 33.67 crore case.

“The jail sentence (given to Lalu Prasad) will strengthen our party and supporters, it will bring unity,” said the national vice president of the party.

“We will keep the fight on, we will continue to fight the legal battle,” he said.

A special CBI court on Wednesday pronounced judgment in the fodder scam case related to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 33.67 crore from the Chaibasa Treasury in 1992-1993.
