Two LeT terrorists killed in Kupwara

Two suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, were gunned down by the security forces in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.

Acting on specific information about the presence of militants in Waripora area of Handwara, police along with 21 Rashtriya Rifles launched a search operation.

During the operation, militants present in the area fired upon the search party. The fire was retaliated and in the ensuing encounter, two militants were killed.

Arms, ammunition and some more articles including maps and cash, were recovered from the encounter site.
