Mumbai, September 25, 2014: TABcab, Mumbai’s largest fleet of radio cabs, has taken the initiative to honour and congratulate the ISRO scientists for their incredible achievement of the Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). The first initiative of its kind, TABcab will brand their 200 fleet cabs with messages that congratulate & honour The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) along with the photographs of the scientists and ‘Mangalyaan’, the spacecraft.

The motive behind this initiative is to celebrate this achievement & exhibit respect for the scientists who with this moment have created a history in Space studies, out of the 51 countries that have attempted the Mars mission only 21 have succeeded and ISRO added a name to the list as its mission prevailed on September 24. The Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex in Australia confirmed M-O-M’s entry in to the Mars orbit.

The achievement has swept the entire nation with a feeling of pride and happiness. ISRO is the first one across the globe to successfully accomplish the Mars Mission in a record time of three years and in a budget of Rs. 450 crore whereas, The USA led US Maven took six years and a corpus of Rs. 4,100 crore to accomplish the mission, which talks about the astounding project management and execution skills that the Indian scientists possess along with their tremendous knowledge and talents.

Speaking on the memorable occasion Mr. Jagdish Purohit, Managing Director, TABcab; said, “The achievement of ISRO’s M-O-M has astonished nations across the globe for India’s competencies in numerous areas like research, project management, execution and technology.
