A new record of loading for the first eight months of any financial year achieved by Central Railway during April to November 2017
The freight loading during the April to November 2017 is 39.57 MT (Million Tonnes) which is 18.6 % more than corresponding period of last year i.e. April to November 2016 and 7.5 % more over the target set for the period.
39.57 MT loading is the New Record by Central Railway and the originating freight earning (April to November) has increased by Rs.385 Core which is 17.9% increase over last year.
The record performance in loading is attributed to loading of Coal, Cement, Fertilizers, Onions, Petroleum and Oil products, Iron and Steel and De-oiled cake. The Coal loading increased 30.7% as compared to loading during the same period last year.
