Mumbai : Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank), will present the 32nd Commencement Annual Lecture on Monday, March 27, 2017, on the topic – “Capital Flows: What Do We Know?” by Prof. Barry Eichengreen, the George C. Pardee and Helen N. Pardee Professor of Economics and Professor of Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, where he has taught since 1987, and Pitt Professor of American History and Institutions, University of Cambridge, 2014-15.
In his lecture – “Capital Flows: What Do We Know?”, Prof. Eichengreen will focus on the management of international capital flows; to and from emerging markets in particular; tracking capital flows from the 1990s. The lecture will further take into account the capital account liberalization at the turn of the century. The speech will further delve on how international capital movements responded to volatility, composition and regulation. Finally, the lecture draws out the policy implications for emerging markets in general and India in particular today.
Mr. S. S. Mundra (Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India) will preside over the lecture hosted by Mr. David Rasquinha (Managing Director, Export-Import Bank of India) and Mr. Debasish Mallick (Deputy Managing Director, Export-Import Bank of India).
