OHE Wire broken between Titwala and Ambivali on 26.11.2016

Suburban and Long Distance train services were disrupted on 26.11.2016 morning (on Northeast side i.e. towards Kasara, Igatpuri, Nasik) as OHE wire broken and entangled with TL4 Titwala-CST Up local at km 62/3 at 04.49 hrs on Up line.

Due to this incident, 6 mail/Express trains were held up. On getting information break down train was immediately ordered. 12102 Howrah-LTT Express and TL-4 were brought to Kalyan by Diesel locomotives individually.

OHE wiring train was pressed in to service after which the OHE wiring was done at the affected stretch. At 10.55 hrs traffic was restored on this line and 12541 Gorakhpur-LTT Express was the first train to pass this section at 11.08 hrs

During this period, Kasara/Asangaon/Titwala bound Suburban services were running upto Kalyan and back. Special Suburban services were run from Kalyan to CST also. Passengers of these stations were permitted to travel by 15645 LTT-Guwahati Express which was given halt at all stations from Titwala to Kasara. In addition, Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) pressed into service 12 special buses between Kalyan and Titwala/Ambivali on round trip basis.

Continuous announcements were made for the benefit of passengers in addition to social media. Suburban Services on Southeast side (towards Ambarnath, Badlapur, Karjat, Khopoli) and harbour line were running as per schedule.

Following Trains were Cancelled/Partially Cancelled

1) 12110 (Manmad-CSTM) Panchavati Express JCO 26/11/16 Short Terminated at Igatpuri.

2) 12109 (CSTM-Manmad) Panchavati Express JCO 26/11/16 cancelled

3) 11025 (Bhusaval-Pune) Express JCO 26/11/16 Short Terminated at Igatpuri.

4) 11026 (Pune-Bhusaval) Express JCO 26/11/16 cancelled between Pune and Bhusaval.

5) 12157 (Pune-Solapur) Express JCO 26/11/16 will run utilising the rake of 11026 at Pune.

Passengers of Short Terminated trains at Igatpuri were permitted to travel by suitable trains between Igatpuri and CST.

In addition, 3 Express trains were RESCHEDULED due to late arrival of pairing trains.
