In Nepal, Rashtriya Janta Party Nepal(RJPN) has demanded conducive environment to participate in the second phase of local elections scheduled for June 14.
Party leaders met CPN (Maoist Centre) leader and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and ruling coalition partner Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
One of the RJPN leader Rajendra Mahato said that they urged both the parties to abide by the agreement signed with them and create an environment to participate in the polls.
He said that both leaders were positive about addressing their demands.
Mahato also said that his party would have no option but to revive the stalled agitation if government failed to deliver on its promise.
RJPN was formed last month after the merger of 6 major Madhes parties to have a greater unity and achieve their objectives.
The party did not take part in the first phase of local elections as it has been demanding constitution amendment before polls.
