By Firdaus Pavri

Genre -Science Fictional Drama.

Producer – Chernin Entertainment,
20th Century Fox.

Director – Matt Reeves.

Cast –
Andy Serkis
Woody Harrelson
Steve Zahan
Karin Konoval
Terry Notary
Tyrese Olson
Judy Greer
Sarah Canning
Toby Kebbel
Amiah Miller

Plot – The War of of the Planet of the Apes is the final and the concluding chapter in the Planet of the Apes Trilogy it was preceded by “Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2011” and “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes 2014”

The Apes under their wise leader Ceaser have been forced Into a war and in to hiding in the woods as an army of soldiers is threatening to wipe them off under a ruthless colonel who wishes to wipe of all Apes from the face of the earth. Ceaser doesn’t want war and is willing to make peace if the Apes are left alone but will the Colonel relent?
Can Ceaser win this war or will he be able to save his Apes from certain death?

Whats Good – The Vfx of this film is far more superior than the past 2 movies and you will see it in the war scenes and in the expression and the eyes of the Apes,
This movie has a far more emotional touch and less of action compared to the 2nd movie, actor Andy Serkis as Ceaser and the giant Orangutan Maurice played by Karin Konoval emote their parts perfectly well so does Actor Woody Harrelson as the ruthless Colonel Alpha Omega.

What’s Bad – Compared to the intensity of the first 2 movies I felt the conclusion movie took a dip it was slower and not paced and edited well enough to leave you on the edge of the seat and there were quite a few yawn moments fans of the series will certainly notice and feel dissatisfied with the third and final installment.

My Verdict – Considering the first 2 movies the box office registers will go ringing mad but the fans and viewers will be disappointed by the War which never was.
My Rating 3 of 5 stars.
