Movie Review – Raabta

By Firdaus Pavri

Verdict-it’s not a movie it’s a poor effort at copying recent hit movies and songs and with disastrous results.
My Rating 1.5 of 5stars

Genre – Romance

Producer – T-Series, Maddock Films

Director – Dinesh Vijan

Cast-
Sushant Singh Rajput
Kriti Sannon
Jim Sarbh
Varun Sharma

Plot –
A Young guy and girl chance upon each other in Budapest Hungary.
They hook up and like each other. One evening while playing a prank with each other the girl stumbles into a liquor baron multi millionaire and he falls in love with her. What is the connection is the rest of the movie for you to see.

What’s Good – Deepika Padukone special appearance Item number which is the title track of the movie is the best part of the movie. Another saving grace is Kriti Sannons look and acting.

What’s Bad – The film fails on multiple counts.
The story line is a Mish mash jumbled up copy of Befikre and Maghadheera and it manages to overshine neither of the movies strengths, The script is uninteresting, the antagonist Jim Sarbh may be a good English theatre actor but he is stiff and uncomfortable throughout the movie his lack and inability to speak Hindi fluently is also very badly exposed, the songs of the movie except for the title track are all Hopeless and even the title track is just a more peppy remix of the Raabta song from the movie agent vinod.
