Movie Review – Baadshaho

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedinmail

Producer – Milan Luthria, T-Series

Director – Milan Luthria

Genre – Period Heist, Action

Cast –
Ajay Devgan as Bhawani
Ileana D,Cruz as Rani Gitanjali Devi
Vidyut Jamwal as Captain Seher Singh
Emraan Hashmi as Dalia
Sanjay Mishra as Tikla
Esha Gupta as Secretary sanjana
Sharad Kelkar As Inspector.

Plot-
Baadshaho takes us to the emergency era of 1975, when there was political unrest in the full country. When Rani Gitanjali’s palace in Jaipur is raided for gold, she is arrested for withholding it without declaration. The government seizes the gold and decides to transfer it via road to Delhi in a truck with officer Seher Singh, a cocky Army Captain in charge of the whole operation. The story takes us through a thrilling journey between Jaipur and Delhi, along with various obstacles, secrets and revelations. It explores the relationships between these characters amongst fun, banter, deceit, betrayal and loads of drama.

What’s Good – The acting performances of the whole star cast is impeccably perfect. The soundtrack of the movie all the songs and the background score is great and in sync with the rustic background folk story of Rajasthan.

What’s Bad – The movie lacks a script a proper screenplay it’s very poorly directed and very badly shot too which is a failure of the director and the cinematographer too. The action sequences too are very lengthy, monotonous and unexciting.

My Verdict – A Movie with a promising story to tell that was let down by poor execution mismanagement and bad direction.
My Rating 2 of 5 stars.
