Minister of Railways  Lays Foundation Stone for RailInfra Projects at Karad

Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways, laid foundation stone, dedicated water recycling plant in a function at Karad on Pune Division of Central Railway.on 11.6.2017.  Sadabhau Khot, Hon’ble Minister of State for Agriculture, Horticulture and Marketing, Maharashtra, Sanjaykaka Patil, Vijaysinh Mohite Patil, Vinayak Raut, Hon’ble MPs, Shivajirao Naik, Dr. Sureshbhau Khade, Hon’ble MLAs, Shekhar Charegaonkar, President Maharashtra State Cooperative Council, were present on the occasion as distinguished guests.

 

D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway welcomed the dignitaries and presented the welcome address. Rajiv Agarwal, Chief Electrical Engineer, Central Railway and S.K. Gupta, Executive Director of M/s Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) exchanged the signed documents of agreement for electrification of Pune-Miraj-Kolhapur line in presence of Hon’ble Minister of Railways.

Suresh Prabhu, Hon’ble Minister of Railways also laid foundation stone for Kolhapur-Vaibhavwadi new railway line (through video link) and Final Location Surveys of Hatkanangale-Ichalkaranji New Line, Phaltan-Pandharpur New Line and Jeur-Ashti New Line (through video link). Prabhu also dedicated the Water Recycling Plant at Ghorpuri (Pune) through video link.  While addressing the gathering he said that railways are continuously working for increasing the infrastructure facilities and providing better passenger amenities.
