The National Cadets Corps (NCC) contingent from Maharashtra Directorate, consisting of 116 NCC Cadets, returned to Mumbai on Friday from Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2018 at New Delhi. The contingent, comprising of 78 Boys and 38 Girl NCC cadets under Colonel AS Randhawa, Contingent Commander, arrived at CSTM and were given a warm welcome by Maharashtra NCC Directorate.

Keeping up with its illustrious tradition, the Maharashtra Contingent won a rich haul of Trophies and medals in the Republic Day Camp. Nine Boys and Eleven Girl cadets of NCC Directorate Maharashtra participated in Republic Day Parade Marching Contingent at ‘Rajpath’ on 26 January 2018. The contingent was adjudged ‘Third Best Marching Contingent during RDC and was first in the National Integration Camp 2018. A total of 17 NCC Directorate from all over India had participated in the highly competitive events for the NCC Banner.  The two cadets, Sarvesh Navende of Air wing and Cadet Gurjeet Singh Bhullar were adjudge Best cadtes during a very tough competition. Apart from this Cadet Puja Nikam had the distinction of commanding the Girls Contingent at the Rajpath on 26 January Republic Day Parade.
