ITF Asian U-12 Team Ch’ship”: Indian girls win South Asia Regional Qualifier

Indian girls have won South Asia Regional Qualifier for ITF Asian U-12 Team Championship.
In the final at Kathmandu on Friday Indian girls defeated Sri Lanka by 3-0.

In the singles India’s Anjali Rathi defeated Heshani Imanga of Sri Lanka by 6-1, 6-1 and Shewta Samanta beat Dewmin Warnasuriya by 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, Indian pair of Anjali Rathi and Shruti Ahlawat defeated Heshani Imanga and Dewmin Warnasuriya by 6-0,6-0.

Now Indian girl team will participate in ITF Championship to be held in Kazakhstan later this year.

In the boys section India got 3rd place. Indian boys defeated Bhutan by 3-0.
