A high level delegation led by Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat accompanied by Shri Saurabhbhai Patel, Minister of Finance, Energy & Petrochemicals along with Chief Secretary and other senior bureaucrats from Gujarat organized a roadshow in the financial capital of India – Mumbai on 17thNovember, 2014 to showcase and invite the business community for the forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit2015. The Summit is scheduled from January 11thto13th, 2015 in Mahatma Mandir; a state-of-the-art convention centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Addressing the industrialists and investors,Smt. Anandiben Patelinformed that the 7th edition of the Summit will be inaugurated by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. Highlighting the fact that Vibrant Gujarat Summit is now a global networking platform , she said that this time the Summit is being partnered by eight countries – Japan, the UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, the Netherlands and the US. Leaders of several countries and prominent global business leaders will grace the summit. Smt. Anandiben Patel informed the gathering about an exclusive Global CEO conclave, a new initiative by Government of Gujarat which is scheduled on the evening of 11th January. This is a first of its kind Global Conclave planned in India which will witness participation from business heads of Fortune 500 firms, noble laureates, academicians and thought leaders and policy leader from around the globe. This gathering will be addressed by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister and her delegation interacted withsome of India’s prominent business leaders, Government regulators and Consul Generals.She extended personal invitation to them for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2015. The Chief Minister also hosted a private lunch for the business leaders.Shealso urged the business leaders to come and invest in the industrial friendly state of Gujarat.
Citing Gujarat’s industrial growth story,Shri Saurabhbhai Patel said that the Government is coming up with various policies, which includes the Industrial Policy, Defence Offset Policy, IT Policy, Electronics Policy, and e-Governance policy. These policies will further enhance the business friendly environment of the State.
A Global Trade Show is being organized from January 7th –13th 2015. It will be the biggest exhibition held so far with a display area of more than 100,000 sq. metres.Gujarat is gearing up to hostan influx of national and international delegates from over 125 countries for the Vibrant Summit as well as for other major events like the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas, PlastIndia 2015, Rann Utsav (Kutch Desert Festival) and the International Kite Festival which will be organized during the January – February 2015 period. Mr. Patel urged the industries from Maharashtra to come and exhibit their latest products and technologies in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show. He also informed that the Summit will have ten theme seminars on contemporary topics and various country seminars.
The Vibrant Gujarat 2015 Summit is not only a summit for attracting investments into Gujarat but a platform where all the states and countries can showcase their strengths in various areas of business.
Shri. Saurabhbhai Patel further added that Vibrant Gujarat event will not only be about presenting business opportunities in Gujarat, but also afford opportunities for business people from all over the globe to explore new ideas & opportunities.
