Mumbai: Rubbishing the exit poll results which have predicted a win for the BJP, the Shiv Sena in its mouthpiece ‘Saamna’ has said that the people of Maharashtra should not be misled.
The editorial claimed that the Shiv Sena will be declared victorious on counting day on Sunday. It has also stated that they don’t want any bitterness with their former ally the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), adding that Maharashtra needs peace and stability and all parties should wait for the results.
Earlier in the day the BJP hit back at Shiv Sena for “stooping to a new low” by launching a personal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in its Hindi mouthpiece ahead of the Assembly elections, saying its former ally should have desisted from making ‘disparaging’ remarks against him.
