Bank of India Celebrates The 71st Independence Day

The 71st Independence Day was celebrated in the forecourt of Bank of India Head Office Building, “The Star House” on 15th of August with traditional fervor and pomp and gaiety. The tricolor was unfurled by Shri Dinabandhu Mohapatra, MD & CEO followed by the National Anthem.

The staff and their family members were addressed by Shri Mohapatra, who recounted the sacrifices made by our forefathers during the freedom struggle and the distance that the nation has covered in the last 70 years in the field of technological advancement, women empowerment, removal of illiteracy, increase in agricultural produce and overall industrial growth. He also made a mention on how the Government is bringing banking facilities to the poorest of the poor and in every nook and corner of the nation. He exhorted all present on the occasion to give their best for the growth of the Bank and wished happiness for everyone on this occasion. The Bank also recognized and rewarded five Best Security Officers of the Bank by presenting them with certificate of merit and mementoes .
