15% salary hike & 2nd & 4th Saturday off to Bank employees – a welcome move

The much awaited wage hike which is talking point in the banking sector come to a smooth landing today with the settlement come to a conclusion with the The Indian Banks’ Association and various union in a joint meeting announce conclusion of 10th Bipartite Wage Negotiations with Bank Unions and Associations to be effective from November 1, 2012. The agreement reached at IBA today, provides for 15% increase in pay slip.As per the agreement reached, the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month will be holidays and the remaining Saturdays will be full working days. Both sides agreed to work out detailed Bipartite Settlement/ Joint Note within a period of 90 days. UFBU representing five workmen unions and four officers associations, NUBE and BKSM were parties to today’s agreement said Mr. T. M. Bhasin, Chairman, IBA.
